About Council Services
If you feel the need to complain about a service you are dissatisfied with.
Another way of making your voice heard is at local District Assembly meetings. The District Assembly is an official council committee, made up of local councillors and a Local Advisory Group. Complaints or suggestions can also be made to the Assembly using an on-line form. It is also possible to view the minutes from previous meetings to see whether or not your issue has already been raised and how it is being dealt with.

Chat Rooms and Discussion Boards
Chat rooms and discussion boards offer an opportunity to have your say, perhaps make friends or read about someone else's comments on any given topic.
Age Concern has a specific site for the over 50's. Click on the links below to find out more.
Speaking to Your Local Councillor
Your local Councillors are part of the District Assembly committee. However, if you wish to speak in private to your Councillor you have the opportunity to do so at one of their regularly held surgeries. View a list of surgery dates and times in your area. If you're not sure who your Councillor is, you can find out on Know Your Councillor.
Advocacy
The following organisations provide advocacy services:
Age Concern, Tameside provides advocacy and legal advice service.
Citizens Advice Bureau also provides an advocacy service for older people in residential Care Homes.
Tameside Carers Centre. If you are a Carer, talking about their needs can be difficult. The Carers Team can help. Carers look at issues they might want to raise at these meetings and, if necessary speak on their behalf.
There are also issues and concerns, which are shared by a number of Carers. Tameside Carers Centre and the Carers Council actively pursue these issues on behalf of Tameside Carers.
