Social Care and Health

(formerly Social Services)

We provide help and support for individuals and families in the community to live independent lives. There are many people who use our services including children, families, older people, carers, people with learning, physical or sensory disabilities and people with mental health issues.

For example, you may want to contact Social Care and Health about:
  • Care at home
  • Child protection
  • Fostering
  • Caring for someone else
  • Services for people with disabilities
  • General advice and information about social care issues and services available
  • Going into a care home (residential or nursing home)
  • And much more

Please have a look at Tameside’s Social Care and Health’s webpages to find out how they may be able to support you.

If there's anything you would like to comment on within this website, you can send an email to owl@tameside.gov.uk or use the 'Contacting us' button for an alternative way of getting in touch.

Thank you for visiting us. We hope we've been of some help to you.
