What is the Conference all about?

The annual conference focuses on the 'really important questions' that older people have about social care and health services. Over 100 older people attend this annual event which brings together Senior Mangers form Social Care Services and older people in the community to consider issues important to the improvement of local services.

Who is the conference for?

This annual conference is for older people (50+) in the community who are interested in health and social care services in Tameside.

You do not have to be currently using services to attend.

Why is it important I attend?

The conference will offer you the opportunity to find out about the changes taking place in social care and health for older people in Tameside and the chance to have your say about what you think needs to be done.

What does the day involve and what are the benefits from attending this Conference?

  • An opportunity to browse and gather helpful information as all the key Health and Social Care Agencies will be represented at the conference.
  • An opportunity to take part in discussion groups Adobe Acrobat Format looking at current developments which affect older people.
  • An opportunity to ask questions, put forward your views and to talk with senior managers from Social Care and Health in Tameside.

When is the Conference?

Our next conference will be Tuesday 23rd October 2007 at Dukinfield Town Hall from 9.30am to 3.30pm

Does it cost anything to attend?

This Conference is free of charge, with lunch and refreshments being provided. Transport and language support can also be arranged.

How do I apply for a place?

Places are limited. The previous conferences have been very popular so if you would like to attend this years conference please fill in the booking form Adobe Acrobat Format Please send your booking form back as soon as possible. Places will be allocated on a 'first come' basis and prior booking is essential. Please contact the conference organisers at the address below if you require further information.
