Noise Nuisance

Tameside Patrollers (Webpage)

Formerly called Town Wardens, the patrollers are responsible for:

  • Deterring crime and increasing security in partnership with the police
  • Taking legal action against litter louts and people who allow their dogs to foul in public areas
  • Reducing anti-social behaviour and illegal drinking in the streets
  • Ridding towns of fly posting and abandoned vehicles
  • Working closely with local businesses
  • Working with the markets service to bring higher standards of cleanliness on Tameside's markets
  • Reporting environmental problems noted in the various towns of Tameside

Tameside Police (Webpage)

Check for details of the police station that serves your area of Tameside. You can also find out where 'police meetings' are held. These meetings are held regularly and provide an opportunity for you to raise concerns and ideas with the police and help influence local policing. All are welcome to these meetings where people can have a discussion with a high ranking police officer and a representative from the Community Safety Unit.

What is Anchor Staying Put?

Anchor Staying Put Tameside is a not for profit home improvement agency run by Anchor Trust, in partnership with Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council and DTLR to help older and disabled home owners who are over  60 years of age and who live within the area.

Who can we help?

Anchor Staying Put can help you if you need repairs, improvements or adaptations to your property, enabling you to 'Stay Put' in the community in comfort and safety. We offer confidential advice, support and assistance.

First Call

Offered by Age Concern Tameside which is an excellent service called which does small jobs around the home. You only pay for the materials, the labour is free. Since the beginning of the service many people have been assisted and it is quite usual to have the job done within 48 hours.

Recommended Services

If you need a tradesperson or a service then give 'Recommended Services' a free call 08000 932 775. They have been vetted and will be removed from the list if the work is not to your satisfaction.
